Daily Wear Jewellery
Lightweight, low-maintenance pieces designed to be worn every day — to work, to college, to dinner — without being taken off and worried about. 108 pieces, ₹249–₹1,899.
What makes jewellery genuinely daily-wearable
Daily wear is the hardest test in jewellery, and it is where cheap pieces fail fastest. Three things decide whether something survives it:
- Plating thickness. Every friction point — the inside of a ring band, the back of an earring, the clasp of a chain — abrades a little each day. Thin flash plating wears through in weeks; this is the specification that matters most for anything you wear constantly.
- A nickel-free base. Skin contact for twelve hours a day, plus sweat, is exactly the condition under which nickel allergies develop and flare.
- Weight and profile. Heavy earrings drag on the lobe over years. Rings with high settings catch on sleeves and keyboards. For daily wear, lighter and lower is better.
The cost-per-wear argument
A ₹1,500 piece worn twice a week for two years costs about ₹7 per wear. A ₹300 piece that loses its plating after five outings costs ₹60 per wear. Daily wear is precisely where paying for quality is cheapest in the long run — and where the cheap option is most expensive.
Building a wardrobe you actually use
Most people own far more jewellery than they wear. Seven versatile pieces — small studs, medium hoops, a fine chain, a pendant, a bangle, a ring and one statement piece — cover almost every daily situation and cost less together than a single fine-jewellery item. Our everyday and office jewellery guide covers how to build and style it.
Ten seconds of care a day
Take everything off before showering and sleeping, and keep a soft cloth in your jewellery drawer to wipe pieces before they go back. That is the entire maintenance cost of a wardrobe that lasts years rather than months.
